In the past I have purchased the following hostas from House of Hosta:

I am having a bit of trouble with H. 'Northern Sunray', but the others are growing very well.

The 1998 price list contains an alphabetical listing of 352 hostas. A brief description is given for each species and cultivar, and it is clearly stated whether the plant is tissue cultured or a field division from originator's stock. Most of the listings are for field divisions. No information is given about the originator, making other reference material essential when considering the rarer cultivars. The 1998 price list offers a number of cultivars not commonly available elsewhere according to the 1997 Hosta Finder, including: H. 'Aardvark', H. 'Abiqua Blue Hearts', H. 'Aristocrat', H. 'Bold Intrigue', H. 'Delta Dawn', H. 'Gold Finger', H. 'Indigo', H. 'Komodo Dragon', H. 'Laura and Darrell', H. 'Love Burst', H. 'Pin Stripe Sister', H. 'Venus', and H. 'Yellow Bird'.

Prices are very competitive for the mature divisions offered. The most expensive hosta offered is originator's stock of H. 'Love Burst' for $125. Some classic hostas are priced at $5 and $6. Checks or money orders must accompany all orders. The minimum order is $30, and credit cards are not accepted.

Hostas are shipped bare root and arrive at the time requested. The plants I received were all mature divisions with adult leaves and arrived in good condition. They were all true to form as far as I can tell.

This is a major supplier of hostas. The price list is straight forward and extensive. The prices are good, especially for field divisions of originator's stock, so this is a source worth considering.
