[M] Being a green hosta is never easy, with all those wildly variegated plants steeling the spotlight. This hybrid from Bob Solberg involves two of my very favorite green hostas, 'Candy Dish' and 'Raspberry Sorbet' (plus Hosta pycnophylla and 'Harvest Dandy'). The broad, wedge-like leaves are glossy green and come to a sharp point. Tightly ruffled margins dress up the foliage. Hosta 'Plum Nutty' forms a clean looking mound about 16" tall by 30" across that blooms in late summer with arching scapes. Flowers are fertile, but not generously so.
