Hosta Glad Tidings

$22.00

Quantity:

[S-M] Rod Lysne of Wisconsin has quietly been hybridizing some fantastic hostas for years, with one of the most distinct being 'Glad Rags'. This sport has the potential to be equally as exciting! The heavy leaves of 'Glad Tidings' are gently cupped and become quite puckered with age. The foliage goes through a season-long color transformation. In the spring, the leaves emerge chartreuse and gradually develop into a rich, brassy-gold. With enough light, the plant can turn creamy-yellow later in the season. Hosta 'Glad Tidings' forms a somewhat upright and unruly clump about 14" tall and 24" across that is topped with pale lavender flowers in mid-late summer. A unique combination of color, texture, and plant size.
