Hosta 'Louie Louie'

[M] Don Dean makes no secret of his love of good music, so it's no surprise he chose to name this lively hybrid after such an iconic, well known song! 'Louie Louie' is a complex hybrid combining genetics tracing back to Hosta longipes, H. pycnophylla, and H. kikuttii. Pointed, green leaves are smooth, with a nice sheen, and trimmed by a narrow, tightly rippled, snow-white margin. A classic look, with a current twist. Hosta 'Louie Louie' quickly forms a low, spreading mound about 14" tall and 42" wide that blooms with fertile, lavender flowers on proportionate red scapes in late summer. Grab your dancing shoes!
